The difficulty with this design and photo job was creating an aesthetic that was different from the recent Broadway production, but still at its heart quintessentially Hedwig. Additionally, this specific production had three different performers playing the role of Hedwig, so it was important to tie them together while keeping them unique. Taking inspiration from Warhol's diptychs, I focused on the transformed characteristics of the male actors and striking, distressed typography.
